Tuesday, Dec. 5 th
Took the train from Geneva to Lausanne .
Walked around the town looking at people and store fronts. Some of the steep streets had very nice cobble stones,
which was true of the big cities in general. The high light of the morning was a visit to the Cahtedral of Notre Dame
which was built in 1275 and the most impressive church in Switzerland. The antiquity and the fact that people have
prayed there for centuries gave a special feeling. In the afternoon I took the ferry to Evian les Bains,
France (even though the overcast prevented a view of the mountains). I took the train through France back to Geneva.
For dinner, Mimi, Sally and I went out to eat.
