Dick had a false alarm about a possible heart attach and as a result spend a day in the hospital in Christchurch. It seemed the wise thing to do to err on the side of caution. He came away from that experience fired up and raring to go! We combined two days of travel into one so we could rejoin the scheduled activities. We went from Christchurch to Deneden where the tour had spent the night and had some time to explore the area. We instead had 5 extra minutes to catch the next bus and continue on to Te Annual. Most of the pictures in this section were taken through bus windows.
In Te Anua, Dick got up early and was lucky to see a rainbow before it started to rain!
This day we took a two hour bus ride to Milford Sound, had a fiord cruise, circled back by bus to Te Anua, and finished by busing to Queenstown. First some pictures from the bus ride to Milford Sound. It was raining most of this ride - not conducive for good photos, but it certainly enhanced the waterfalls.
The fiords of Milford Sound were as impressive as the Fiords we saw in Norway!
We encountered a New Zealand traffic jam on the way to Queenstown.
