On Monday we took the City Tour which first went to the Pearl. It was constructed to look like an observatory,
but it's main function in life is to serve as a revolving restaurant. We liked the views from there so much, we did come back for dinner on our last day. Photos 1 & 2 show its observatory like architecture. Photo 3 shows was taken looking out through an interesting window. Photo 4 shows Reykjavik and the last photo shows some statues that were outside the Pearl.
Our next stop was at the Laugardalur Pool, where we stopped only for a brief look-see. As in the other numerous pools in Iceland, the pools were geothermally heated.
The Asmundur Sveinsson Museum was solely for the display of Asmunder Sveinsson's sculpture.
After the museum, we went to the Reykjavik Harbor (photo 1) where we saw some retired whaling boats (photo 2). 10% of Icelanders fish which provides 50% of the island's income.
At the end of the City Tour, we requested to be dropped at Reykjavik center. We saw an interesting Catholic Church (photo 1), a typical square (photo 2), and some school children (photo 3).
