We flew from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. The pictures on this page don't do justice to how pretty the colorful lakes were in this region.

The map below indicates that Juizhaiguo is part of Sichuan Province. However, Tibet was much larger in size before China took it over, and then Juizhaiguo was part of Tibet. So we feel justified in feeling that when we visitied Jiuzhaigou (and later Songpan) we were in Tibet. Furthermore, those mountains are the foothills of the Himalayas - so we also claim we have been to the Himalayas!
