Independence Avenue borders the boundary between Dick's parcel and Julie's. It is entirely on Dick's property and was created to make the trail system on his downsized parcel independent from Julie's. The independence was achieved for the sake of future land owners who might not be as friendly as Dick and Julie.

The following photos proceed along Independence Avenue in a northerly direction, starting near the base of Whiteface View. After crossing Glacier Trail, Independence Avenue enters our sugar bush which we have often tapped in the spring to make maple syrup.
