The Erratic is a boulder that was left as a glacial deposit. It is called an erratic because it is out of the ordinary, there are few others around. This erratic is located on Erratic Trail, close to the beginning of the esker. In fact, the glacier that caused the esker also dropped off the erratic.

There is also a smaller erratic on the property; near the house. In my time frame, it was originally in the cellar hole to be. This "small" erratic was still big enough to require Bill Read's excavator plus my backhoe when it was moved to its present resting place. I write present resting place because it would be presumptuous of me to say it will wander no more.
