SATURDAY

Saturday was a free day in Paris. Here is an overview of what we did that day. To see larger pictures, go to a museum.

We walked to the Picasso Museum from the Place de Bastille. The museum had lots of Picasso works plus it was also featuring works by Ingres.

We next took the Metro to Musee Louvre. Spent a couple of hours there, but we certainly didn't have enough time to do the Louvre justice.

From the Louvre we walked to Notre Dame. We stood in line for 45 minutes so we could climb the tower - made it all the way to the top of the cathedral.

By now it was 5:00 PM. Fortunately, the Center George Pompidou was open until 9:00 PM. We walked to the "center" and spent 3 hours there looking at its vast collection of modern art, plus a special exhibit of works my Miro.
