Because of closed roads due to the hurricane, we went via boat to Hamilton. On the way we stopped at "The Dockyard", walked around, and then continued to Hamilton via bus.

Hamilton is a pretty Bermudian city with a focus on tourists.

We lunched at retaurant with and then took a bus back towards St. George. The bus also functioned as a schoolbus. The young school kids were adorable. When we got within a few miles of the boat, weakened bridges were closed to heavy traffice such as buses. Taxis were few and far between, so we hitch hiked. The driver went out of his way to drop us off at the boat.

So ended our trip to Bermuda. Just before departure, one of the ships lifeboats, which had been out on safety inspection exercises, was haul back up and a tug boat got us on our way.
