I met Doug when he gave a presentation to our local Audubon organization in North Carolina. It was fascinating to learn the various techniques he uses to create illustrations of birds and animals. His illustrations have been included in his own books, plus he has contributed to numerous other guides. Doug is the leading expert on birds of Hawaii and Pacific Islands and leads trips to share his knowledge. In addition to being an author, illustrator, and artist, Doug is also a muscian.
