OAK ISLAND
Even though Oak Island is only a few hundred yards from the northeast end of Holden Beach, it is 40 miles, 45 minutes from Ash. We don't visit it as much as the other Brunswick County beaches because of the added distance. The houses are less extravagant than as those on Holden and Ocean Islands, which leaves room for more green areas.
There are two nices beaches on the island: Caswell Beach at the north and Oak Island Beach
at the south.
