The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
Before leaving Mammoth Hot Springs, we drove north about 10 miles so we could claim we visited Montana.
We then retraced our path back to Mammoth Hot Springs, and continued on towards our next stop in Yellowstone - its own version of the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is much smaller than its big sister, but still very scenic.
After leaving the Grand Canyon, we drove for a ways and then took a break and walked along this spit.
We stayed again in West Yellowstone, our second night there. The next morning we started toward our relatively
distant location - Cody, Wyoming. Again approaching Old Faithful, we detoured to see the Firehole Thermal Area.
Our last adventure in Yellowstone was to go on a two mile hike to see the Natural Bridge.
