YELLOWSTONE and Vicinity
September, 2009

Cody, Wyoming

About 10 years ago, half of Yellowstone burned. Lodgepole pine seeds are activated by fire, so this helped regenerate the forest.
However, smaller scale fires still occassionally happen.

Scenes as we left Yellowstone National park and headed towards Cody, Wyoming.

The city of Cody is tourist oriented and fun to visit.

Every night except Sunday there is a fake shootout in front of Irma's hotel / cafe. This was originaly Buffalo Bill's place, and was left to his
niece Irma.
