Mt. Whiteface is an important mountain in our life. It affects our weather while adding to the scenic beauty. It is one of the reasons that Chase Road is an official scenic highway. If we have been away for a while, be it a trip abroad or a stay at our North Carolina home, we look forward to our first view of the mountain as we approach the Pot Hole swimming area off Rt. 113A. It is our welcome home.
