DICK DANIELS AND SANDY COLE's World

BOUNDARY BROOK

Boundary Brook enters Dick and Sandy's via a culvert that goes under Chase Road. The pictures below were taken on the hillside that is just below that culvert - the same hillside that our house overlooks. When the brook is at its most exuberant, as shown below, we can hear it plainly from the house. Most of the time the brook is not running, or even crawling - just patiently waiting for the next heavy rains.

We call it Boundary Brook because for a considerable distance, as it meanders beside Independence Avenue, it is close to Julie's property. It stays on our side of the line as it passes under Glacier Trail and then under Esker Pass Trail, close to Blackberry Crossing. It then passes the boundary and eventually joins Turtle Brook.

These pictures were taken in 2003 after a summer downpour.
